Group 1:
Sam, Tasha, B-Rad, Cam, Bailey, Tanman, Brooke, and Buggy
Questions they asked:
-Can you describe a girl?
-Can you describe a boy?
-How do you feel about stereotypes?
This group did a really nice job with explaining what stereotypes are but not by just defining the word but by acting it out. I really enjoyed the skit that they created at the beginning of the video because it was a clear representation of what stereotypes are. They also did a really good job picking people to interview and choosing the best answers to put in the video. On the other hand, I think that this group could have improved their video by shortening the interviews, although they were very informative, they were also long and made it feel like we, as listeners, were getting lectured to.
Group 2:
Alyssa, Jacob, Kayla, Courtney, Aubree, Kaci, Da'marcus, and The Illusion
Questions they asked:
-What is a man's/woman's job?
-Is it easier to be a man or a woman in today's society?
What I think this group did really well on was that they took a different approach than all the other groups by making their video more of a newscast. Also, I think this group did a much better job at making their video more psychology based rather than just for fun. The interviews that this group conducted were well chosen, however, at times they seemed to be long and drawn out. Something that this group could have done better revolves around the background noise of their video. At times it was very hard to hear or understand what people were saying because of excessive background noise. Although that was a downfall, they made it a little better by using subtitles.
Group 3: (My Group)
T-Bone Stevenson, Kelsey, Boots, Carly, Sammy, Elena, Mav, Mariah, and Keaton
Questions they asked:
-What do girls/boys do?
-How do boys/girls act?
-What is a man's/woman's job?
The thing that I think my group did well on is our interviews. I liked that we were able to get a wide range of age groups to interview and that the answers were clear and concise. Also, I think that we did a good job shortening our interviews so that they weren't super long and that they were interesting and informative. However, we could have done better with making sure the audio of the video wasn't glitching or hard to hear.
Reflection:
I really enjoyed this project. At first I thought our group was the underdogs because we didn't have anyone that has delt with making videos or movies before
